Regional Transitway Projects
The Counties Transit Improvement Board - comprised of Anoka, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington Counties - is leading development of light rail, commuter rail and bus rapid transitway lines in the metro area. The Counties Transit Improvement Board investment in transitway projects began in 2008 to help commuters, residents and businesses move more quickly and efficiently. With smart, affordable transportation becoming a high priority for Minnesotans, the Board's investment will respond directly by building transitway lines throughout the region.
